What is Dmatrixx?
A:
Dmatrixx is a network based professional audio router
including a digital mixing core, digital
Format converter, AD/DA Converter, and a full featured
digital Audio Matrix.

Q:
What is different about Dmatrixx compared to other Matrix
products?
A:
One of the most unique Features of Dmatrixx is its SUMMING
BUS concept. This means that
every input could be MIXED not only routed into one of
its available outputs. The effect would be
the ability to add as much inputs to an outputline as
wanted, without the need of adding digital
mixers or additionalDSP-Cards.Of course its totally network
based multiclient concept and its
extremely competative price are also to mention here.

How and where I can use Dmatrixx?
A: Dmatrixx could be used in broadcast control
rooms, full broadcasting-center networks, studio
routing matrices, in recording and post-production studios
as a routing matrix for mixing con-
soles and studios, A/D, D/A and format conversion in
theaters, concert halls, convention centers, fairgrounds
as interconnection of recording studios, stages, sound-reinforcement
facilities and
other areas hall and building networking

Q:
What does the core module contain?
A: The core Module contains the Dmatrixx amount
of Digital input and output channels, a
digital I/O MADI, Adat, Firewire etc. and an etheternet
port.

Q:
Do I need further interfaces (external/optional)?
A: For different applications different I/Os are
necessary. Therefore Dmexx provides a
scalable up to 64 in and out 24 bit high quality AD/DA
Converter for the system that will
be hooked up through the MADI interface. Up to 2 blocks
128 AD and 128 DA will be
possible within one Dmatrixx Module.

Q:
Is a PC necessary (e.g. to run the controlling software)?
A: One or more standard equipped with a network
card is necessary to run the control
software if some routing, EQ dynamics have to be changed
within the system, or to
watch metering or gain reduction. Once set, Dmatrixx core
will run stand allone without
any attached control software. In case of a power loss,
Dmatrixx will recover the last
set state, shortly after power is back on the system.

Q:
On what platform can I use the Dmatrixx control software?
A: The Dmatrixx control software can be used with
any standard PC equipped with
Ethernet card and a Pentium processor 800 or above, one
free usb port , and a
screen resolution of 1024x768 or higher.
