Multicore Digital
128 Channel Multicore on Lightpipe AD/DA |
Two
Converterblocks can be plugged together via BNC or
Lightpipe to form a
digital analog Multicore.Configured as
straight through it fullfils the same
tasks as any analog Multicore, though with an enourmous
extension of cable
lenght, (up to 3000ft on MADI lightpipe). Its cable
is light and easy to carry and
install, absloutely EM and hum resistant, and it can
find its place in the tiniest
gap of any existing installation, behind wallcovers
or under carpets. Both units
could also be used seperatly with digital mixers as
Stagebox I/O and, in combi-
nation with Range-X modules, even 8Ch snakes on stage
are no hassle.
Example:
16
X 16 Router Compact
Routing Matrix for 8 Channel Groups
Every
Converterblock can be configured or muted in 8
channel groups
(seperately for In- and Outputs) e.g. Analog-In
1-8 to Madi-Out 25-31,
Analog-Out 1-8 to MAD-In 57-64 etc.

Example:
2
to 8-times splitting: 2x32 to 8x8 Splitterbox
Every Converterblock can work as audio-splitter.
Audiochannel
1-32 can be
output on DA 1-32 and in the same time parallel
also on DA 33-64.
Especially for broadcast, Live TV or PA purposes
this feature adds
additional value to the system. No extra splitterboxes
are necessary.
All settings, including sync, split, router inputselect
etc are remotely
configurable through a control PC. The settings
are permanent, and
even after a complete power blackout all of them
stay where they were
set to before

Wide
Area Audio-Distribution (WAAD): [top
^
]
|
|
Multiple Converter Blocks can form a wide area
Audio Distribution connected via MADI lightpipe
or BNC. In addition to all features stated above,
the system provides a 64 ch MADI based token ring
interconnection between all units. If lightpipe
is used, the distances between the units can easily
exceed 500m (1500ft) In this case the Converterblocks
divide the MADI bus into 8 slots any slot with
8 Audio channels, providing a very costefective
and flexibleaudio distribution system. Connected
to one Converterblock, through MIDI or Ethernet
(with ethermidi-box) the Control-PC can access
all other Converterblocks via Madi, to setup alter
or surveil any unit seperately.

connecting
example:
Unit
1 feeds Input 1-8 and 17-24 to Slot 7 and
8, receiving Slots 7 and 8 to outputs 9-31 eg. 32-64
splitting it 4 times.
Unit 2 feeds Input 25-31 and 40-48 to slot
3 and 4, receiving Slot 1 to outputs 1-64 splitting
it 8 times.
Unit 3 feeds Input 1-8 and 9-16 to slot 5
and 7, reiceiving slot 8,2,3,6,4 to outputs1-8,
9-24 split 2x, 25-39 split 2x, 40-48 and 49-55.
Unit 4 splits input 1-8 5x to output 25-64
feeding input 9-16 to slot 6 and input 17-24 to
slot 8 receiving slot 5 to output 17-24 slot 1 to
output 9-16 and slot 7 to output 1-8.
